History
Njs4ever.com is the first cyber-destination to thoroughly pay tribute to the New Jack Swing Era and beyond. It was born out of an unquenchable desire to celebrate the unsung heroes of a movement that served as the critical bridge between the plush R&B of the 1980s, and the edgier Hip-Hop/R&B hybrid we enjoy today. Our ongoing mission is to cover New Jack inspired urban music trends from the past, present, and future. In essence, NJS4E is what we proudly call a Pop Culture Purveyor. We deliver the most authentic New Jack-centric experience in existence today through this website, our online forum, our upcoming music compilations, and of course -- our international NJS4E Parties!

In October 2007, NJS4E was honored at by the 4th annual VH1 Hip-Hop Honors and was voted 3rd best Honoree website in an international poll. During this trip, we met up with numerous luminaries from the New Jack Era and beyond including Teddy Riley, Chauncey Black (Blackstreet), producer Jack Knight, Aqil "EmperA" Davidson formerly of Wreckx N Effect, VIBE Chief Editorial Director Danyel Smith, Andre Harrell, and many many more!

NJS4E lauched its web store in mid-October, featuring hats, T-shirts and more. Special thanks to EVERYONE who has supported this website with a purchase so far. We've been around for about 6 years now -- and we're just going to get bigger and better. We promise...if we catch you wearing one of these items at an event...you will definitely get special treatment. What goes around...comes around! Get your NJS4E gear today! Especially if you believe in what we're doing.

In the fall of 2007, NJS4E was contacted by the North American Entertainment Group (NAEG) to help promote the New Jack Tour featuring Bobby Brown, Aaron Hall, Tony Toni Tone, and on some dates Johnny Gill, After 7, and Levert. That relationship is currently growing, and NJS4E is looking to build on this and to make sure people remain in the know when one of these shows will be coming to a venue near you!

NJS4E was contacted by a consultant to Universal Music Group codenamed "The Compiler" who can be found at the forum about a follow-up to the Guy Special Edition CD that was released by Geffen Records earlier in 2007. This website was able to put The Compiler in touch with Barry Michael Cooper, who wrote the liner notes to this CD and mentioned Njs4ever.com near the end. This double CD set featuring some rare remixes as well as classic NJS was made available exclusively at Circuit City and planned for wide release in 2008.
