Very little is known about the artist D'La Vance. Signed to Sony music in the late 80s, the song that earned D'LaVance a page in the New Jack Swing Hall of Fame is the Dallas Austin remix of "Itchin' In My Pants" which is textbook New Jack Swing Era music - extremely danceable and certainly the kind of track that would light up a dancefloor in London, Paris, or Amsterdam at a New Jack party over there.
D'LaVance's vocal style is thin - think Michael Jackson with a bit of Mic Murphy mixed in.
