New Jack Swing Hall Of Fame:
Jeff Redd

Best known for the hits "I Found Lovin" and "Love High" from his debut album, and "You Called And Told Me" from Uptown's Strictly Business soundtrack Jeff Redd was a fantastic vocalist, songwriter and producer who got his start with Uptown Records. He has done subsequent production work with K-Ci and JoJo, Bobby Brown, and Regina Belle.

In addition to his production work, Jeff Redd became a label executive at MCA/Universal Records, his biggest success being all three K-Ci and JoJo albums, as well as Mary J. Blige's Mary album.

While not as well known as it should perhaps be, it was Jeff Redd who discovered Mary J. Blige, and brought her to the attention of Uptown Records CEO Andre Harrell.

Jeff Redd's second album was never officially released, but it is considered a highly prized item among music collectors overseas.

Currently Jeff Redd is performing in the Tri-State area - in addition to his Sol Real Records project, a new album is in the works.
