Jarrell Mason interviews Steven Russell, one of the lead vocalists of R&B group Troop, whose debut and Attitude albums were among the most celebrated of the New Jack Swing Era. After his initial run with Troop, Steven entered the world of songwriting and producing for other artists, most notably assisting with "No Air" by Jordin Sparks featuring Chris Brown, and "Gots Ta Be" by B2K.
