Barry Michael Cooper (pictured above), the journalist who coined the term "New Jack Swing"
and wrote the film New Jack City, among others has just started a blog. One of the entries (about former Uptown/MCA recording artist Jeff Redd) mentions NJS4E's Andrew Knyte as well.
Well...we are VERY close to the release of the new album by New Kids On The Block,
and we have to say...a few of the tracks are pretty good.
First up is a track called "Grown Man"
that was originally produced for Teddy Riley's group, ADIDA - featuring the Pussycat Dolls. This is the "new" New Jack Swing below:

By now, you may be aware that Bobby Brown has collaborated with rapper T.I. on a song
called "One and Only." Currently only heavily edited snippets of the song are available
online, but you have to give props to T.I. for surrounding himself with New Jack Swing and Hip-Hop/Soul. His longtime partner Tameka "Tiny" Cottle is formerly of the Hip-Hop/Soul group Xscape....and of course, Bobby Brown brought New Jack Swing to the masses with "My Prerogative."
Stay tuned for more coverage of this collaboration!
If you haven't heard his new song yet, "It Must Be You (America)" - check it out because it's some of the hottest work he has done in a minute...do not hesitate. You can hear the song at his official website (click the pic above to go). As long as you have Flash installed on your computer, you should be good to go! If you like what you hear, let it be known....call your local radio stations/media outlets.
